my top ten crafty projects of 2015! >> BLOG HOP
Wednesday, December 30, 2015
<you should have arrived here from the fabulous Rebecca's blog! the full hop list is below.>
Hello dearies! It's that time again to share our favorite projects from the year. This is my third year participating in this Hop and I really enjoy it so much! Similar to last year, there's a HUGE GIVEAWAY for one lucky person. I also am giving away a little something. (Details about both of these at the end of this post).
This year, I honestly didn't do a super ton of actual creating, but did spend lots of time this year focusing on growing as a memory keeper as I made a transition in my scrapbooking approach. For that reason, I was able to pick 10 of my most favorite projects from this year that meant so much to me!
#1: LOVE LOVE LOVE this pocket page using Shimelle's True Stories collection (swoon!). created using a Story Starter challenge from Simple Scrapper, as a reminder to have a little more self-love! <3
#2: one of my fav photos of my super hott hubby that I've been trying to use for a long while now. created using a Simple Scrapper challenge and sketch, this layout is just about how rad I think he is!
#3: speaking of rad, created this CD envelope/card/treat bag for my super rad brother for his birthday, using the same Hipster collection (Basic Grey) as the layout above. he really loved it and actually admitted he just might like scrapbooking! YAH!
#4: I did a good share of creating=therapy this year. created this pocket page for a Scrapbooking From The Inside Out challenge, as a reminder to not freak out about the future and just enjoy TODAY.
#5: another Simple Scrapper influence, created this double pocket page for the Start Fresh class, about remembering WHY I enjoy scrapbooking. this is one of my fav pocket pages ever!
#6: a mini album I haven't shared yet here on the blog. it had been a while since I created a gift mini album, and I made this one all girly for my cousin's daughter, Tessa's, first B-day. It's so pretty and I can't wait to share it soon!
#7: these were technically created last year, but didn't share them until this year. created using my Cinch, these little notebooks were actually featured on We R Memory Keepers' Facebook and Instagram accounts!
#8: this year, I learned creating cards is just not my forte. that being said, there were a few I created that I LOVED, like this pretty card for bestie's birthday, using an old My Mind's Eye collection. Hot diggety dog!
#9: another project I haven't shared on the blog yet, this was my biggest undertaking this year. 75 wedding invitations, including RSVP cards, direction cards, and stamped vellum inside, for my friends Beth and Sal. they were so fun to create and taught me lots about working on big, long projects!
#10: earlier this year, when I went back-to-basics, I created a number of very simple *Smash pages, using very little product. I wasn't super happy with the result at the time, but it taught me lots about my obsession of using product vs. getting things done, and in the end, I loved these pages.
GIVEAWAYS!
