handmade happy mail!

HELLO dearies!  This post was supposed to be part of a Blog Hop back in October, but that didn't pan out, so I'm sharing it with you today.  Enjoy!

I love products that are different and reflect me and my lifestyle. Music + rad=love and life.  When I purchased the Hipster collection a bunch of years ago, I was sooo in love.  The colors, the phrases, the designs.  LOVE!  It's pretty rare that I love a collection this much.  Unfortunately, it got buried in the black hole that is my craft supplies, so this was actually my first time creating with it.

This collection was perfect to create some happy mail for my lil' bro.  He's in the Army and spent his second birthday in a row away from "home" so I knew he could use some smiles.  I created a CD envelope (for some awesome music, of course!), a goodie bag of candy, and a matching card.  I filmed a short little video with a closer look at what I created.  Check it out!

In addition to the Hipster collection, I used some orange bling, wood chips from Citrus Twist, washi tape from Teresa Collins, and patterned paper from my stash.  The paper bag was a reuse from when I used to subscribe to Citrus Twist kits.  (Seriously, save these things!  They're awesome to redecorate.)  Typewriter + DIY brown spray mist + sewing + stencils = fin!

He loved the happy mail and I got the best messages from him which made me the happiest big sister ever!  Yah!! I hope this inspires you to dig out those crafty products that you're so in love with and get to creating!

xoxo
