As you can probably tell, my blog posts have been slowly trickling in again. I have long ago given up on setting up some type of blogging schedule, and instead just blog when I have time. I'm not gonna lie, it feels like a newfound freedom! ANYWAYS, I have quite a few projects to share, but just haven't had time to edit the photos and write the content. So here's the first!
I made a handful of gifts this past year for Christmas since money was a bit tight (...and because, well, all of us crafters love making handmade gifts). This one served as a hostess gift for Alex's cousin, who hosted us on Christmas Eve. I came across this tag set on the We R Memory Keepers blog and knew they'd be perfect for a hostess gift! (We R is one of my favorite spots for papercrafting/non-scrapbooking projects. They share some cool stuff on there!)
The tags I created are a bit smaller than the ones in the link. (I'll have to add the measurements later because for some reason, I cannot for the life of me find the dang notebook that has the measurements I wrote down). Let me just say that I am NOT fan of gold, but for some reason, used lots of gold on Christmas gifts. I guess gold and Christmas go hand in hand!
These were super easy to make. I literally just:
- die cut four tags;
- layered them with paper;
- used my Crop-O-Dile to add a hole and eyelet;
- layered 1/4 of a doily and the glitter border.
The "for you" is a stamp (one of my favs!), then I just tied some string on.
The box was the hardest to make and if I remember correctly, I messed up the first time and had to toss if out and start over. Like in the link, I used my envelope punch board by We R to make the box. (LOVE THAT THING!) Thanks for checking these out!
