my top ten crafty projects of 2014! >>BLOG HOP

<You should have arrived here from Linda's blog.  The full hop list is below>

Hi dearies!  Tis the season for reflecting on the past year before we welcome a fresh new one.  So me and some amazingly inspiring friends are sharing our top ten crafty projects of 2014.  There's even a huge giveaway!  (details about that at the end of this post).

I loved looking through the projects I created this year to pick my favs.  I know this year I have really grown as a scrapbooker/paper crafter/documenter and it feels so awesome to think I've finally "found myself" in my craft!

my top ten

This year, through our Just Two Midwest Girls scrap challenges, I made it a point to document my intentions for 2014.  I didn't know at the time of creating this what a crazy year this would be, so it's nice to have documented the innocence and hope for 2014.

My very beloved Grandma passed away very early in 2014.  It was a heartbreaking and devastating loss.  One of my fav things about scrapbooking is it can be healing, so this layout about the love for my grandparents really helped cope with the loss.  I'm so proud that this layout is currently displayed in my grandparents' home!

I really got into pocket pages this year!  This page {and four others} were created when I applied for the TC design team.  Sadly, I didn't make it, but I still am so in love with these beautiful pages.

Another set of pocket page layouts that I created for Just Two Midwest Girls.  The challenge here was to scrapbook about you, so I included a handful of selfies and lots of memorabilia that I saved.

Two of my fav mini albums (of all time!) were created this year.  This #favs album was a very simple album that contained only four photos and is held together with washi tape.

Ahhhh this album!!!  I have been wanting to try this FOREVER and it finally happened this year!  Also held together with washi tape, this album is an accordian-fold album using Project Life cards.  The entire album is contained inside the tin.  LOVE!

I will always remember about this layout that I had an original idea and it didn't pan out.  The background design, though very time consuming, turned out awesome though!  A pretty layout about turning 27.

Seriously, these photos!  They're some of my favs ever from my cousin's wedding.  And I totally forgot until now that I used 10 rolls of ribbon on this layout!

This little album reads look a book and tell the story of our adventure going downtown with my brother and cousins last winter.  I ended up giving this album to my little cousin to look through and read whenever he wanted!

And last but not least, this recent layout about the stories of our lives.  The awesome quote in the journaling was discovered on Pinterest.  "our lives are a collection of stories.  truths about who we are."

Giveaway!  Some of the girls have pitched in to offer a $75 gift card to Paper Issues!  Wowzers!!!  To enter, leave one comment on each participating blog.  Each comment will get you one entry and you can have up to 24 total entries!  The giveaway closes on January 4th and the winner will be announced on January on the blog with the winning entry.  So make sure you follow all the blogs to see if you win this awesome giveaway!

  22. Kelly, these are all so amazing! I especially love that mini of project life cards in a tin. I may have to make one now. I am accumulating those cards and I don't do project life. This is a great alternative to using them on cards. Hope you have a great 2015!
