Sunday snapshots.

Sunday snapshots is an excuse to get out from behind my camera phone and use my big girl camera.  I shoot these photos with my Nikon D50 in manual mode to gain experience with my camera.

This poor little branch stood out in the mound of snow in front of our home.  I love the little specks of snow on it.  In the background is our mailbox and courtyard.

1000x663/white balance: auto/f-stop: f/7.1/aperture: 4.8
One of the things I love most about snow is how quiet and calm the world is when it snows.  When snapping these, I wish I could record sound with them.  You would hear nothing.  Nothing but snow falling.

I'm happy {for the most part} at how these turned out.  I didn't realize until editing just now that while I was shooting, mostly everything was still on auto, even though I had my camera set to manual mode.  I guess I still have a lot to learn.  I think it's time to pull out my camera manual again....

xoxo,
Kelster Jean
