Scrapping Our Stash: Practical Scrappers Blog Hop

Hi dearies!  Welcome to the Scrapping Our Stash: Practical Scrappers Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from the fabulous Laura Cox.  If you'd like the full hop list and want to check out the awesome giveaway for the hop, please visit the Practical Scrappers blog.  (Please note: You don't have to visit all of the blogs for a chance at the giveaway.  It's a looonngg one!)

For my Scrapping Our Stash project,  I wanted to use up some of my scrap patterned paper stash.  After I create a project, I throw all my excess patterned paper into a XL Ziploc bag.  I try to use the patterned paper as much as I can, but it quickly builds up!  So I grabbed the bag and made two cards!  I am always in need of cards!  I feel like me and my hubby are at the age where we always have a wedding, a baby shower, a birthday, a graduation, etc., so any chance I have to make some extra cards for my stash, I want to!

I am forever needing baby cards!  (Any maybe, just maybe, dreaming of having our own little one one day has left me with a tiny bit of baby fever).  Anywho, the scrap pieces of patterned paper on both cards are the background paper.  It may be a little hard to read, but the top card says "I'm pregnant!" over and over.  I totally fell heels over head in love with Bella Blvd.'s Expecting collection because it's more about the "I'm pregnant!" and less about the "Baby is here."  So I bought tons and tons and used tons and tons, but still had some sheets leftover.  For both cards, I also used envelopes from my stash.  I have tons and tons of envelopes, so sometimes I base my card size on the envelopes that I have.  Awesome!!

For this card, I sewed around the edges, added a journaling tag, and the chipboard sticker.  The hearts are punch-outs from the heart border, which I turned sideways.  Then I finished it off with a teeny tiny button brad.  I think this card is perfect for a couple who finds out they are pregnant with a girl after they have been trying for a while!

Card measures 5 1/4 x 4 1/4.  Products used: patterned paper, chipboard sticker: Bella Blvd., washi tape: The Plaid Barn, cloud paper: Fancy Pants, other: cardstock, button brads
For my second card, I adhered the patterned paper and cut out a cloud from patterned paper and adhered that also.  I added strips of washi tape around the edges to frame the card, then added the 'mommy to be' chipboard sticker.  Finally, I added two button brads.  Perfect for a couple expecting a little bundle of baby boy!

**GIVEAWAY!!**  I am giving away a small package of goodies to one lucky reader.  Simply leave a comment on this post by next Saturday, January 18th.  US and International welcome!!  (Sorry the giveaway is not photographed, but I promise I will update with a photo later!)  And make sure you stop by Practical Scappers, where Kiwi Lane is generously sponsoring a giveaway!!
