Preparing December Daily Album

Tuesday, December 03, 2013

It's December 3rd and your December memories are most likely underway.  Woo hoo!  My favorite time of the year!  I love December and everything about it.  Today I wanted to share with you how I am preparing my December Daily album and process so that it is easy peasy (lemon squeezee) to document my memories, not stress out, and create a beautiful album!

The first thing to do is to get all of the products within reach for easy snatching.  I added my alphabet letters, embellishments, 6x6 patterned paper, and bags to a basket that sits on my desk.  For the smaller embellishments, I removed them from their packaging and put them in this container.  (Too bad I didn't have any cute jars to put them in!)

I'm keeping a notebook on my desk that I can write in every day.  This is where I will record my every day memories and journaling that will go into my album.  As I stated in one of my previous posts, I won't be documenting daily, but I do want to remember what happened on which dates so I can add them to my album.  This is a great way to keep track of your events!

Now that you have your products out and separated and your notebook for documenting, it's best to try and prep as many pages in advance as you can.  Since I am using a kit and a pre-made album, I went through and put all of my pages in order.  Some of my pages are canvas and some are chipboard, so I covered/spray-misted/painted those.  After I decided what order they would go in, I went through and added paint and spray mist to most of my pages.  This is nice to do in advance because when it comes time to scrapbooking your memories, all you have to do is add your photos and embellishments!

So there you have it!  I'll be posting some updates on my album throughout the month of December.  I am determined to have my album completed by December or the first week of January.  We shall see!  How are things going with your December album?  Feel free to share in the comments and link up your posts!
