As promised, I'm sharing the cover of my December Daily album with you today. I call it a December Daily even though I'm almost positive I won't be documenting every day of December. I plan to journal a little something every day on a notepad, which will then be transferred over to my December album, along with photos and embellishments. I want to document the moments, the feelings, and the magic, and will include the dates, but may not document daily. And I'm okay with that.
This year, I made it a point to truly realize that my hubby and our bunnies are my new immediate family. This was a hard transition after getting married, for both me and my extended family, to realize. But I feel like this year I have been working hard towards remembering this. Therefore, I decided to title my album "Guzlas Holiday 2013." I want this to be an album featuring me and my hubby and OUR HOLIDAY. I want this to be an album we can put out every year around the holidays for people to look at. This will be our holiday album!
For my album, I painted the cover red, then painted it white again. I originally thought about leaving it red, but it was way too vibrant for the cover. So I painted it white, but didn't add too many coats, so the red would show through a tiny bit. I then spray misted a doily over the cover to reveal the spray misted pattern. I cut the doily in half and adhered to the cover. I added a strip of the gold washi, a border strip, and the "holiday" sticker. I then added "2013" on top of the sticker. I used a Mister Huey zig zag mask to paint some gray paint on the bottom and top and added some paint and mist splatters. Finally, I added the red glitter Thickers and adhered four of these absolutely stunning stars. They are bark stars by Prima and I am so in love with them I might just buy 5 packages. I must use them on everything!!!
Are you doing a December album? I would love to see your progress. Share the link in my comments so I can check it out!
