Just Two Midwest Girls scrap challenge: Kill A Kit!

Hello dearies!  Heather and I are bringing you another challenge.  This week is extra special too because we have our fancy new challenge series name AND banner.  This banner will appear at the top of all of our challenges.  And, we're working on a button to add to the side of our blog.  What do you think?  Is it is a good one?

Sadly, we didn't have anyone link up for our last challenge, so we're hoping to have some people play along on this challenge.  Since I recently signed up for a 3-month subscription to Citrus Twist kits, we thought it would be awesome to do a 'kill a kit' challenge.  I am using the September kit from Citrus Twist.  Here's a look at what was in the kit.  (The product list is no longer available, but I tried to include what I thought was in the kit).

Products in this kit: patterned paper: Pink Paislee (Color Wash collection), American Crafts (Amy Tangerine: Cut and Paste collection), Webster's Pages (Allison Kreft Designs collection), Carta Bella (Hello Again collection), Collecting Moments, Echo Park (Here and Now collection); candy buttons: Basicgrey, Alphabet stickers: American Crafts (Thickers) and Glitz Designs (not pictured); other: doilies, feather, wood chips, stamps: Citrus Twist

For this challenge, I thought it would be super fun to record a video.  This is my first video ever recorded, so please let me know what you think.  I know it's not great (note how many times I say 'um,' that the camera is a little shaky, and that I accidentally said 'registered' instead of measured.  Oh, and I need to figure out how to get my video to span across the entire screen instead of just centered).  For the challenge, I created four layouts, one regular-sized card, and one mini card.

Time for you to break out what's left of one of your kits and USE IT!  Please link up your project by December 5 for a chance to win a $5 Two Peas gift card.  You can link up on my blog or Heather's blog.  Please note that your projects don't have to be new.  It can be a challenge you took on in the past.  I can't wait to see your work!

xoxo,
Kelster Jean

  1. LOVE THIS VIDEO!! Do videos more often! I love the mini cards! Great idea to have a stash for happy mail. I love everything you made. And I find it hilarious that we both created a layout of our sisters at graduation! It's like we're meant to be crafty friends! Amazing work Kelly!
