Here I am to share with you this week's Ten Things project. This week, me and the other talented gals are sharing ten things you can do with: tags!!! (Just for fun: we also used tags in January of this year (one of my first design team projects). You can check out that post here). Tags are really amazing and really can be used for anything. Of course, I love altering tags. But, what about on a scrapbook page? Lately, I have been inspired by the super amazingly talented Paige Evans. I really love her unique style on her pages and am so in love with what she does with the tiniest bits of paper. So, I took a page out of her book and decided to create an entire background paper with just tags!
Do you ever purchase patterned paper that is a whole page of tags? Do you cut them all up individually? That's what I did with this page of Crate Paper tags. I cut them all individually and stored them in my Scrap Rack until they were ready for use.
Since I was creating a layout about our darling Maria, these tags for a baby girl were perfect. I lined them up across an 8 1/2 by 11 page and let them overlap off the sides, then cut them down. I adhered all the tags, but sewed the top row and bottom row of tags. There was so much color on the tags, I decided my photo should be in a black-and-white, so I printed the photo above of my hubby and his baby girl. Add a few decorations and my signature bunny-and-heart punch and we are golden.
I'm pretty in love with this. This was definitely outside of the box for me. Most of the layout is flat and I purposely left out dimension because I plan on hanging it in a frame next to this layout about my baby boy. Make sure you hop on over to Practical Scrappers and check out more ideas for using tags!
