A Summer Inspired Card!

Hello dearies and happy Sunday!

Despite all of the rain we've been getting here in Illinois, there have been one or two nice days full of puffy clouds and sunshine.  Can you tell I love summertime?  It's my favorite time of year!  I'm hosting a card challenge over on the Scrappin' Peeps forum and summertime is the theme for this week!  Here's the card I created for the challenge:

The Dear Lizzy Neopolitan collection is perfect for summertime, so I used it on this card.  (I also am using it for my Summer 2013 mini album that I will share here in a few days).  I used leftover border strips for this card and a sentiment from the same collection.  The washi tape at the top is from Bella Blvd.  Then, I sewed around the whole card.  (Well, I sewed around the card before I added the strip at the top, but because I'm still learning to sew corners, I messed up and it came out majorly crucked, so I had to improvise and covered it up with the washi tape).

This card took next to no time flat to create and I love how clean and simple it is.  If you have time, hop on over to the Scrappin' Peeps forum to participate (you may have to request a login and password to access the forum).  I'm giving away a few papers and stickers from the Dear Lizzy Neopolitan collection as a prize!

xoxo,
Kelster Jean
