Warped 2k8 Layout

My hubby and I are big music people.  Like huge.  Not one day goes by that we do not listen to music.  And, we are rock fans.  All the way.  Well, rock might be a little gentle of a word.  We both love loud guitars and drums, screaming melodies, and, above all, live shows.  One of our favorite music fests is the Vans Warped Tour.  It usually features an amazing line-up of bands that play 1/2 hour sets.  (Unfortunately, and actually surprising for our age, we're getting a little old for Warped Tour and haven't been in several years).

I scrapped these photos once already, but wasn't super happy with how it turned out.  It was a little chaotic for me.  So I decided to scrap the photos again.  I am pretty dang happy with how this turned out.  I used a sketch from Practical Scrappers and really loved the sketch.  I scrapped the same photo that was in the original layout.  I loved this photo of my hubby with Chris from In This Moment.  This photo was such an important story for me to tell that I'm glad I decided to focus on it and have the story on its own page.

The tag is from Elle's Studio (which is actually from a collection of Halloween tags) and was the perfect size for the journaling. The corner stamp is from Glitz Designs and one of my newest stamp sets (thanks to a dear friend, Laurie, on Club CK for sending me these!).  I wanted to include some memorabilia because I always have tons of stuff from going to these fests.  So, I included one of the wristbands we wore (its in the top, right-hand corner of my layout, used as a border strip), and the map and schedule of the lineup, which I cut into triangles and used on the left side of my layout.  (I'm really in love with how those turned out!)

I'm really happy I was able to rescrapbook this memory and really think that this new layout captures the photo and tells the story a lot better.  I do plan on scrapping the rest of the Warped 2k8 photos on a separate page that matches, so that way it will look sort of like a double spread.  Have you ever scrapbooked the same photo twice (or more)?  Tell me in the comments!
