Ten Things you can do with a Heart Punch

Love is in the air!  It is February and February means lots of red and pink, hearts, and lots of love!  So, this challenge over at Practical Scrappers to use a heart punch could not have come at a better time!

Products used: cardstock: Hobby Lobby; patterned paper, borders, and sentiment: Carta Bella Devoted collection; ribbon: craft supply; heart punch: Fiskars.

When I think of a heart punch, I immediately think of the Fiskers tiny heart punch I own.  I love it so much and equally love using it to make heart confetti.  (Because, seriously, what is better than confetti?)  This card came together quite quickly using the new Carta Bella Devoted collection (which I was lucky enough to win last December before it was even released to the public).  This card was inspired by a beautiful card I found in Cards July 2011 magazine ("Just Married" by Gretchen McElveen (sorry I forgot to photograph)).  This card is going to my hubby for Valentine's Day.  So far, he hasn't seen it, and since he really doesn't visit my blog, I'm hoping I can keep it a secret (and I am terrible at surprises so hopefully I can also keep my mouth shut.  He already knows the gift I'm giving him for Valentine's Day.  Way to go me.)  Valentine's Day may just be a Hallmark-based holiday, but it's a nice excuse to show my hubby how much I adore him and shower him with a little gift or two.

Make sure you hop on over to Practical Scrappers to see all of the amazing things you can do with various-sized heart punches!

xoxo,

  1. Adorable! I love the little confetti. If I had a heart punch I'd definitely use it to make confetti. Love the sentiment too!
