December Daily Part One (photo-heavy)

Hello dearies!  Hope you enjoyed a nice and relaxing Sunday.  It pretty much rained all day in Illinois, so I had a scrappy Sunday catching up on projects and editing lots of photos!  (So thankful that my hubby is a computer nerd because he was able to fix my laptop right up and now I can catch up on some blog posts).  The first project I want to share is my December Daily.  (Now, mind you, this is only half of my album as I still need to complete the other half, but I never even came close to finishing my 2012 DD, so I'm pretty proud of myself here).  I hope to finish the other half of my album before July, hahahaha.  I definitely have to give myself realistic goals.  Okay, here we go (and as stated before, this is a photo-heavy post).

Front cover.  Products: Evalicious kit (cover, tags, and snowman); doily; Lily Bee Designs (number stickers); 4Klear Stamping (stamp)
For 2012, instead of using a pre-bound album, I decided to bound the album myself using my Cinch (since I saved all my pennies for it!)  I mainly used the This Christmas Art Journal kit for my album.  This is my second year using a premade kit, and more specifically, from Evalicious and I love them!

I am sheltered and have never used a transparency before, so I wasn't really sure what to do with it.  Since I didn't want to take away from the gorgeous design it had, I just left it blank  (for now anyways).

I always like to share a "summary" or "opening" of what this album is about.  Here I just talk about what my expectations and wishes are for the holidays.
Products: Evalicious kit; Studio G (alphabet stamps); leaf; Lily Bee Designs (number and alphabet stickers); Elle's Studio (thankful tag).

Products: Evalicious kit; My Mind's Eye (banner stamp); Lily Bee Designs (journaling tag); Daisy D's (rub-ons).
Definitely had to include Black Friday in my album as this is really the only one true holiday tradition Alex and I share.
Products: Evalicious kit; Elle's Studio (...until Christmas stamp);
I like to include every day happenings as well as holiday happenings.  Here, my mother-in-law and I went for pancakes at Cracker Barrel.

Products: Evalicious kit; Elle's Studio (tag and December Notes stamp).
Also shared here mine and Alex's Christmas wishes together, as a family.
Products: Evalicious kit; doily; Elle's Studio (silent night tag); snowflake; Unity stamps (5 stamp).
Products: Evalicious kit; elle's Studio (journaling tag); Ranger (spray mist).
I love holiday music.  It is one of my favorite things about the holidays.  This year, I thoroughly enjoyed Michael Buble's Christmas album while crafting cards.

While our car was getting new tires, we had the pleasure of getting to drive a red Ford F150 (well Alex drove and I barely could get in the thing!)  Alex loved it so much he almost traded our car for it.

Products: Evalicious kit; Lily Bee Designs (alphabet stickers); The Plaid Barn (washi tape); Elle's Studio (birthday tag); The Paper Studio (birthday stamps).
I have a love/hate relationship with December birthdays.  I love them because that means more things to celebrate.  But I dislike them because that means you have to find two gifts for the person when its hard enough to find one.

Products: Evalicious kit; My Mind's Eye (ornament stamps); Elle's Studio (journaling tag, 'ten' tag, and 'sights and sounds' tag.

I loved help decorate my in-laws' tree and extra-loved swooning over all of the adorable ornaments, like the one above of my darling hubby.

Our company's Christmas lunch was very nice.  I loved including the menu (above) to remember the yummy good we had.  (Please excuse the x'es.  I did not want to share my employer's information).

The first half of our winter was unusually warm for living in Illinois, so I definitely wanted to include this in my layout.  We had several 60-degree days in December.

One of the highlights of my holiday season was my Secret Santa (I participate in a Secret Santa over at Club CK every year).  I had the best Secret Santa ever this past year.  She showered me with gorgeous handmade cards, 12 wrapped packages to countdown the 12 days of Christmas, and tons of scrap goodies.  This takes up 5 pages in my album because there was so much to share!
Well, that's the first half of my album.  As you can probably tell from the photos, my December Daily is not in order of date.  I decided after the first page that I didn't want my album to go in order.  I love randomness, that is my life, so its only natural that my work reflects that.  I used lots and lots of different products for my album.  I tried to share most of them above (although some are scraps or I couldn't remember).  Hopefully, I can get my butt to finish the other half of the album before the next holiday season.
xoxo,
Kelster Jean
