My 12 Fav Crafty Projects of 2012

Sunday, December 30, 2012

It's almost 2013 which means its time to review my favorite projects of 2012!!  I love doing posts like this because it helps me remember how much I accomplished in 2012 and how I have grown creatively.  I also like reading other people's 2012 in review posts, no matter if its memory-related, crafty-related, or life in general.  So, let's do this!

My 12 Favorite Crafty Projects of 2012
(in no particular order because it was too hard to choose my #1 favorite)

#1) I love how this sunburst came out and this patterned paper is one of my favs.  The layout is a little busy, but I love how the photo of the clouds keeps the layout in check.

#2) This layout is a scraplift from Elizabeth Kartchner's Signature Series bookI really love the simplicity of this layout and how it shows my true feelings for my amazing hubby.

#3) This simple card was created for my sister Jenny for her birthday.  She loves cupcakes.  This October Afternoon Cakewalk Collection is one of the first new products I purchased this year...and I love it!

#4) The first time I broke down and used one of my doilies.  This doily was saved from a restaurant and I really liked the coffee stain it had on it.  This was a card for my in-laws' 35th wedding anniversary.
#5) Mini albums are really my favorite.  (I love them more than anything else).  This album was a gift to my mother-in-law for her birthday.  She loves autumn.  You can see the rest of the album here.

#6) Altered projects are also my favorite.  I created this photo box to hold the extra photos that didn't make it into the album above.  Click here for the link to the tutorial.

#7) I'm not that great with 12x12 layouts, but I vowed this year to challenge myself to create more.  This is one of my favorite 2-page spreads I created for a challenge at Club CK.  The envie has extra photos in it.

#8) Continuing with 2-page spreads, this is one of my favorite layouts I've ever created.  It tells the story of our little (female) bunny Maria, and how we are so lucky to have her around.  This was really the first time I ever used confetti, and I was so happy with how it turned out.  (You can read the full story on this layout here).

#9) Can I just be selfish and say that I am soooo in love with this layout?  I created this layout for a challenge at Elle's Studio and won the challenge!!!  I really loved how messy this layout came out as I really let go on this one.

#10) This layout was the very first layout I created using a graph-type.  I had been wanting to try it for a while and I finally did.  This layout was created using a sketch from Scrapbook and Cards Today PageMaps Calendar (2012).

#11) I sent this card to my brother when he was away at Fort Benning during Thanksgiving.  I really wanted him to know how much we were thinking of him and missed him.  I really loved the colors on this card.  ( And I got an awesome deal on these Unity stamps off of Craig's List).

#12) Finally, one of my favorite Christmas cards I created this year.  This is a Bi-Fold card I created that I am so, so proud of(please excuse the paper clip, it kept it closed for photographing).  I loved the colors on this card and loved that I tried something new (the Bi-Fold technique).  You can see the full post on my Bi-Fold cards here.

Did you share your top projects or favorite projects of 2012?  I would really love to see them.  Please share the link on the comments below.  Thanks!
