Christmas Cards 2012

I've been working extra hard on making my own Christmas cards this year.  It is a goal for me each year to make my own cards, and each year I seem to fall short.  Last year, I believe I got to around 20 cards and then gave up.  In the end, we always end up ordering photo cards at the last minute to send out instead.  This year, however, a dear friend over at Club CK inspired me to give it another shot this year.  So, here I am once again, on December 4th, working my tushie off to get my cards completed on time.  I am happy to report that I am up to 31 cards this year so far.  31!!!  That's waaayyy more than my goal last year.

Since my Christmas card posts will be so photo-heavy, I've decided to split them up into several posts.  The first post will be up in a few days (I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I want them to go) so please stay tuned and check back for some mega Christmas card inspiration.

xoxo,

Kelster Jean

PS: Have you ever taken on the challenge of making your own holiday cards? Did you get as many done as you wanted or did you give up?  I would love to hear your experiences!

  1. I have made my cards the last few years. It does seem like I get less & less done each year. Last year some of the cards I made were left at my grandmas house so I decided I am only making cards for those that really appreciate them. I know Grandma does because she had all 3 cards sitting out the next time I visited. I will have to post my cards when I get a chance. I havent blogged for about a month now. Happy Holidays Kelly!

  2. Your cards are beautiful! I made about 80 cards in 2010, zero last year, but I'be been busy this year and made so many this year I've lost count. I'm working now on making sets to sell at work next year at our annual craft fair. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your cards!
