Christmas in July

{I am so excited to be back to blogging world after a temporary hiatus.  I've been thinking about my little blog lots lately and have even been dreaming up and sketching out new posts.  I have so much to share and write, I can't even wait!  Hope you will tag along!}
 A couple weeks ago, I hosted a Card Challenge over at Club CK{If you aren't a member of Club CK, you really need to be!  There are tons of challenges, galleries to look through, and so many awesome peeps on there.  And it's all free!}  Of course, July makes me think of one thing: Christmas!!!  I know, July is also my birthday, and summertime is still in full bloom, and I should not be thinking about the cold, wintery months of December.  But I can't help it!!!  July marks half the year being over, and the descend towards beautiful fall and winter.  July is a great time to start all those handmade Christmas projects, including cards, gift tags, gifts of all sorts, and so much more.  For me, July has always meant Christmas in July.  So, this definitely had to be my theme when going into my Card Challenge.

 {Products used: cardstock; large tag: Pinecone Press; all other products: Dear Lizzy by American Crafts}.

I must say that while I love the traditional red and green colors of Christmas, what I love even more is the bright and beautiful "untraditional colors" of Christmas.  So, when drawing up this card, I knew I wanted to create a very "untraditional" card and just had to use the Dear Lizzy Christmas collection for my card.  {In case you weren't aware, I am one of the biggest fans of Dear Lizzy and Elizabeth Kartchner, the creator of Dear Lizzy}.

Have you created any Christmas in July goodies yet?  Do you create your own Christmas cards?  I'd love to hear!
