Happy Independence Day!

Wednesday, July 04, 2012

To all of my USA readers, I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day.  As for me, I had a wonderful day that I will share soon.  In the meantime, I wanted to create a layout that expresses how thankful I am to live in this country.  I am definitely not boastful when it comes to patriotism, but one thing I am thankful for is that in this country: we are free to be who we want to be, express our opinions, and live our dreams.

{Products used: cardstock, white paint, heart brad: craft supply; fabric swatches: K&Company; "free to be me" die cuts: Slice by Making Memories (Holidays and Basics cartridges); buttons: vintage; "Happiness is:" tag: Elle's Studio}

This layout was created based on a sketch challenge over at Elle's Studio.  I was honestly so in love with this sketch and really might use it over and over again.

Enjoy the rest of your week and I will have more Independence Day coming up.
